Taste and See

The Bible says “Taste and see that Jehovah is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him” (Psalm 38:4).

Beloved Reader, if you are reading this then it is no accident. I want you to know that God loves you no matter who you are or what you have done. When Daddy looks at you today He sees the prefect work of His Beloved Son, Yeshua. In Jesus, your sin debt has been over compensated.

Let me now invite you to taste and see that Yahweh is good. Beloved in the ministry of Jesus, the blessing always came first, and that was when men saw the perfect love of the Father in the eyes of the Savior and were led to repentance.

True repentance is not when you dig up all your past sins; the Greek word used for repentance in the New Testament is metanoea, which means to change the way you think. Look away from your sinful nature and look to the perfection of Jesus.

Beloved it is through faith in His work that we are being justified FREELY through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24).

Jesus understands you, He knows you because it was He who formed you and it was for you that He gave His life as a propitiation for your sins (Romans 3:25). The bible says “For in that He Himself has suffered, having been tempted, He is able to rescue those who are being tempted” (Hebrews 2:18). Jesus knows exactly what you are going through and He is not set to punish you. Instead His arms are wide open to receive you and love you; to give you the name of a bar Yahweh, a son of God; to bless you beyond what you deserve.

Come as you are. You need not clean up your act or your conscience before coming to God. You do not clean yourself before taking a bath, do you? It is the bath that cleanses you; the washing off of filth by the water is what makes you clean. Likewise, it is Jesus’ precious blood that liberates you (Romans 3:25, 5:9) from the filth of this world and this cleansing is a continuous process as soon as you step out of the darkness into His perfect light. (1 John 1:7)

So come, taste and see that He is good. Call out to Him today. Tell Him of troubles, worries and cast all your cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7). And as surely as the Lord lives, I tell you that you will see the power of God in your life; His Shalom peace will fill you and His loving embrace will squeeze your troubles away. Then His grace will lead you to true repentance, metanoea. At that time when you are thanking Him pray this prayer

Heavenly Father,
I come to you in the name of Jesus!
Your Word says, “….the one who comes to Me I will in no way cast out.” John 6:37
So I know You won’t cast me out, but you take me in, and I thank you for it.
You said in Your word, “…..if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved” “For everyone, "whoever shall call on the name of the Lord will be saved."” (Romans 10:9,13)
I believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
I believe He was raised from the dead for my justification. I am calling upon His name – the Name of Jesus – so I know, Father, that You save me now.
Your word says, “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation” (Romans 10:10)
I do believe with my heart and I confess Jesus now as my Lord.
Therefore I am saved!!
Thank you Daddy!!!
Amen!!

Wow!! Welcome to the family of God (Romans 8:14)! You now have the Holy Spirit within you to guide you and He will never leave you (Hebrews 13:5). Your spirit has been renewed (2 Corinthians 5:17) and now as you read His word and meditate on it His Spirit will direct your path (Proverbs 3:6).

Beloved in Jesus you are highly favored, deeply loved, abundantly blessed!!

Shalom (peace be unto you) in the name of Sar Shalom, the Prince of Peace, Yeshua!! Hallelujah!!

Our minds: His instruments

He gave us an imagination so that we can visualize the revelations His Spirit brings to our spirits!!

The mind can never be fully understood by men because it is the instrument that God made to make us who we are!! To give us a free will, for creation to choose to have fellowship with the Creator.

It is the residence of the soul, the interface between the spirit and the body!!

Paul said “Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your MIND…” (Romans 12:2a).

Our mind is naturally oriented toward the world. We are born of flesh and by that virtue we are born under sin. But that is not where Jesus leaves us, Romans 3:24 says that (those who have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God vs. 23) are being justified FREELY by His GRACE through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” Hallelujah!!

At the new birth, we are washed by the blood of Jesus and our spirits are renewed according to 2 Corinthians 5:17 and this new spirit is the lamp of God (Proverbs 20:27). Now as we meditate on His Living Word our minds, the interface between the things of the world and the deep things of God, are renewed each day. Paul spoke of the Word to be Living and powerful, sharper that a two edged Sword, that can divide the soul from the spirit; discern the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

The things of the world fade away as we begin to seek FIRST His kingdom and His Righteousness (Matthew 6:33). As our minds become tuned to the things of the spirit we move into a new realm, the realm of Faith, where the only reality is Jesus and by His stripes we are healed (1Peter2:24), by His blood we are saved (Galatians 3:13), by His finished work we have received the Righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ (2Corinthians 5:21)!! I can feel a spiritquake coming!! Hallelujah!!

The rest of Romans 12:2 says, “in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.”

It is in this new realm of Faith that we hear the will of the Father, it is here that we are shown the great and marvelous things (Jeremiah 33:3) promised by Yahweh; it is in His presence where we are what we were created to be, sons and daughters of the Living God. Give Jesus all the praise!! Amen!!!

Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.
Do those things which you have also learned and received and heard and seen in me. And the God of peace shall be with you.
Philippians 4:8-9

Beloved, this is the reason why Paul urges us to think of good things, keep our thoughts pure. self control is not at all a physical practice controlled by our wills, it is a fruit of grace that manifests within our minds as we meditate on the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Can you hear the sound of an army rising!!

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
(Joel 2:28-30, 32)

Beloved, as the coming of Our Lord draws near, each time a desperate soul cries out to the Lord, he/she is immediately washed clean by the precious blood that flowed out of His broken body, the BLOOD shed for the remission of our sins. And the Spirit of the Lord is poured out on the sinner who is now sealed by the Holy Spirit as a son of God; a bar Yahweh.

Day by day the denominational barriers, divisions created by the enemy, wither as the sons and daughters of God are brought together under Grace. Daddy is pouring out His mighty Holy Spirit on all flesh, as prophesied by the prophet Joel; the Son of God baptizing the redeemed in the Dunamis power of the Spirit.

The earth today is reverberating with the sound of an army rising, as the sons and daughters of God prophesy and old men dream dreams and young men see visions of the Day of the Lord. Hallelujah!!

Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
(Ephesians 6:10-11)

The Lion of Judah has roared. His breath of life, enervating the weakest saints, the warmth of His very presence, the love in His eyes causes them to rise up from the darkness into His perfect light, where the blood of Jesus washes away all unrighteousness without ceasing (1 John 1:7).

The enemy trembles at the very mention of His name. The redeemed shout, “Our Redeemer lives”. The prison of Sin crumbles before Jehovah Sabbaoth.

“The enemy has been defeated, the Lion of Judah has prevailed” echoes through the camp.  The weapons of our warfare are not of this world, but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds…” (2 Corinthians 10:4); the armor of God, as Paul mentions in the book of Ephesians, is handed out to each new recruit who joins the ranks.

The fiery darts of unbelief are rendered useless against the shield of Faith (Ephesians 6:16).

Blows of deception cannot shatter the helmet of Salvation (Ephesians 6:17).

Spears of condemnation cannot penetrate the breastplate of Righteousness (Ephesians 6:14).

The belt of Truth protects the honor of the saints in battle (Ephesians 6:14).

Step by step the army moves forward, the shoes of Peace (Ephesians 6:15) on each soldier conquering territorial oppression with the power of the Gospel, the gates of hell will not prevail (Matthew 16:18).

The armor prevails against every attack of the enemy and He who is able to keep us from falling (Jude1:24) keeps us and presents us without fault to the Father. But there is more to this battle.  The Son of God said, “In this world you will have tribulation...” (John 16:33b). The enemy comes at us with sorrow, discouragement and physical sickness.

But the Holy Spirit is within us, He will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), at such times He reminds us of what lies nestled in the belt of Truth and our spirits shout out the Living Word, “..the Son of God said “….but be of good cheer for I have overcome the World” (John 16:33b)”; the Living Word of God, a mighty two edged sword, a weapon of offense, glistening in true LIGHT of the world, Jesus. It is a discerner of the truth (Hebrews 4:12) that can slice the fog of deceit; and a destroyer of every demonic deception and oppressive influence over our lives. Jesus said in John 14:26 and 16:8-11 and 16:14-15, the Spirit will teach us all things and remind us of what He taught; convicting us of the righteousness that we have received through faith in the work of the Son. Amen!!

Each verse brought into our spirits by the Spirit of God is a powerful blow to the enemy. Jesus said “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and the overcome every power of the enemy”(Luke 10:19). No demon, no power can stand when a saint wields the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT which is the WORD OF GOD (Ephesians 6:17)!! Hallelujah!!

For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Beloved the war is over, we are more than conquerors in Jesus’ mighty name (Romans 8:37). All praise and adoration to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!! Amen!!

Be blessed in the name of Yeshua ha Maschiah!!

Your Definition in Jesus Christ

Beloved, as you stop looking at yourself and look to Jesus in every situation of your life, the peace of God comes and guards your hearts and minds in CHRIST Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7), and you will see the things of this world grow dim and insignificant in the LIGHT of His GLORY AND GRACE.

Beloved, John says that as we walk in the light as HE is in the Light, the BLOOD of Jesus cleanses us from all sin and unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). The word cleanse in Greek is “katharizo” which is in the present continuous tense. You need not be a perfect person to walk in the light, after all the Son of Man came to “seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10). No, you begin to walk in the light as you LOOK to the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, JESUS CHRIST (John 1:9)!!! And His blood cleanses you, every moment of every day, from all evil.

Let us take a moment to see what the Bible says about what happens to us when we believe. I have listed the biblical changes that we see in ourselves when we, like Abraham, receive righteousness by faith in Jesus.

The THOUGHTS of a Bar Yahweh (Son of God) are good and pure.

Philippians 4:8 says “Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, and whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.”

The HEART and MIND of a Bar Yahweh is always at rest. Sons and daughters of God have “cool heads and burning hearts.”

Paul, in Philippians 4:6a, 7, tells us “Do not be anxious about anything……..the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Jesus, Himself said in John 14:27b “…..Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

The MOUTH of a Bar Yahweh speaks words given by the Spirit and continually pours forth praises to the KING!!

Act 2:4 says, “And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

And at the house of Cornelius, Peter and the disciples “….heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. (Act 10:46a)

Hebrews 13:15 says, “By Him, then, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, confessing His name.”

The EYES and EARS of a Bar Yahweh are sensitive to the movement and direction of the Spirit. They are as Jesus says, BLESSED because they see and hear the things of God!!

In Matthew 13:16-17, Jesus said “But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear what you hear, and have not heard them.”

The HANDS of a Bar Yahweh are the tools of God. They are His instruments, the interface at which the dunamis power of the Holy Spirit moves out to bless the nations and heal the broken hearted. They are the wicks that hold the FIRE of God!!

Mark 16:18b says “….. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well.”

The BODY of a Bar Yahweh is a temple of the MOST HIGH GOD!!

In 1 Corinthians 6:19, Paul tells us “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, whom you have of God? And you are not your own,”

The FEET of a Bar Yahweh the base members of our body, are shod with sandals that prove that we are His sons and daughters, in Christ Jesus our Beloved Elder Brother. A prodigal world is welcomed with open arms and clothed with garments of righteousness by the Spirit of sonship!! Sealed unto Salvation by Ruach ELOHIM, the Spirit of God!!! The One, who rained down fire from heaven that consumed even the stones, now showers us with kisses and embraces us with an even more FIERCE UNRELENTING LOVE because of Yeshua’s sacrifice!!!

Luke 15:22 says “But the father said to his servants, Bring the best robe and put it on him. And put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet.”

Romans 8:15-16 “For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba, Father!
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.”

Beloved this is what you are in Jesus, sons and daughters of God. Shout a big HALLELUJAH to the KING of kings and LORD of lords, and cry out to your ABBA, your DADDY, for He cares for you affectionately and He cares for you watchfully (1 Peter 5:7b)!! !!

Amen!!!

Worship under Grace: His words, our lips

Ever since the day of Pentecost, the human language has ceased to be a barrier to declaring the beauty, majesty, awesome splendor and amazing grace of ABBA and His BELOVED Son Yeshua; our limited vocabulary is no longer an impediment to the worship of Yahweh!!

Isaiah 28:11 says "For with stammering lips and another tongue will He speak to this people"

The Holy Spirit gives us words for worship too.....Jesus said that true worshipers will arise who will worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth. (John 4:23)

The Spirit of God within us puts words in our mouths...(Acts 2:4) He gives the utterance and we begin to declare the "wonderful works of God" (Acts 2:11)

True worshippers "alethinos proskunetes" (proskuneo: fall down before like a dog)are those who rise up to fall down before El Elyon , the most High God. When we fail to speak out our heart, He is merciful and His Spirit speaks for us...He delights in our worship, which rises up to Him as a sweet perfume(2 Corinthians 2:15, Philippians 4:18) This is the reason that we exist, to have communion with our Maker and Lover of our souls.

Thank you Holy Spirit!! By the work of Yeshua we are always in Your Presence and You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) You help us speak of God(Acts 2:4,11) You help us pray (Romans 8:26) You edify us (1 Corinthians 14) You speak what you hear from Daddy and remind us of what Jesus said (John 16:13-15) You are the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13)

All blessing and honour, glory, praise and adoration be unto the  Loving Father, whose LOVING KINDNESS is better than life; the Son, our beloved Elder Brother and Great High Priest; and the Spirit of Truth who is within us...a SEAL of God within us unto Salvation. (Ephesians 1:13) Hallelujah!!!

Grafted into Eternity

According to the wisdom of the world we are all a finite accident. The universe and life as we know it came into existence by mere chance and will, in the near future, come to an end as a result of that same chance.

The big bang theory, evolution and the anticipated big crunch, all sprang up from men wanting to know the mind of God. Finite beings, in a desperate attempt to explain the inexplicable ended up attributing their very existence to mere chance; with one school of thought shrinking God into a finite frame of reference and another totally denying His existence.

But the living Word, the sharp two edged sword divides this conflict of soul (human “finite” reason) and spirit (a part of the Infinite). The Word of God is full of evidence that points to the Wisdom and Knowledge of God being much greater, beyond human understanding and the physical realm.

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jerimiah 33:3)

“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge..” (Ephesians 3:19a)

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding…” (Philippians 4:7a)

“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”
(1 Corinthians 2:5-11)

That which has a beginning also has an end. But He who IS the Beginning and the End, the alpha and omega, the aleph and taf  (Revelation 1:8), He who created ALL things and in whom all things consist (1 Corinthians 1:17), the Almighty El Olam (Genesis 21:33), the Ancient of Days (Daniel 7:22), He is infinite, He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8), the unchanging Jehovah Shammah (Ezekiel 48:35), the GREAT I AM!!

Today through faith in His only Son, Yeshua, Jesus, we are sons and daughters of the Living Yahweh (Romans 8:15-16), grafted into eternity, who  “….shall not perish but shall have EVERLASTING life” (John 3:16b)Therefore, let the redeemed of the Lord say so. (Psalm 107:2) Amen!!

God of every situation!

We see a toothache as a small problem, well within the threshold of pain that we can withstand and easily made right by a good dentist.

Acne and pimples may worry a lot of people but only to the point that moves them to save up a lot of money and to go to a skin clinic and have the epidermal layer of the face painfully removed. In situations like these, almost no one cries out to God. We think we can handle it ourselves.

But consider this, a person afflicted with a life threatening disease like cancer, detected at the final stage, when medication fails and doctors give up all hope; he runs to God and asks to be healed. The situation is way beyond the control of man and the afflicted individual knows the magnanimity of the situation and when all hope is lost he cries out to God.

But, beloved, this is not the only point at which God can help us. He does not want that we only go to Him and ask Him to deal with the impossible situations in our lives. He wants us to rely on Him for EVERYTHING!!
Jesus said, “…even the hairs of your head are numbered” (Luke 12:7)

Beloved the God who cares to number the very hairs on our head, cares much more about our general well being. We say “God helps those who help themselves”. But our God is a God of the helpless, comforter to the comfortless; He is our righteousness. John speaking under the unction of the Holy Spirit said “Beloved, in regard to all things I pray that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2) He knew that it was God’s desire that we be healthy in spirit, mind and body.

The trouble is that we rely more on ourselves than we do on God. The writer of Hebrews says, “For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” (Hebrews 4:10-11)

In Luke 8, when Jarius was informed that is daughter had passed and that he should not bother the Master anymore, imagine how he must have felt. In that situation when all hope was lost and the situation way beyond human control, Jesus said, “only believe”. Beloved, that is all that needs to be done. The only work that God desires that we do now is "only believe" in the One He sent, Yeshua, His beloved Son.

Jesus answered, "The work God wants you to do is this: to believe in the one he sent." (John 6:29, ERV)

The Hebrew word for heal is “rapha” and is derived from the root word “raphah” which means relax or be still. It is written in the book of Psalms “be still and know that I am God...” (Psalm 46:10). In Hebrew it is “har-Pu u-de-u ki-a-no-Chi Elohim”; the word “har-Pu” comes from the root “raphah”. In other words in all things we are not to rely on our selves or our efforts but put our faith in what He has done; rest in His finished work.

The Word says, “Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.  But HE was wounded for OUR transgressions; HE was bruised for OUR iniquities; the chastisement of OUR peace was on HIM; and with HIS stripes we ourselves are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5)  1 Peter 2:24 says, “He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.”

Beloved, God who is able to deliver us from life threatening situations is much more capable of solving the little problems in our lives. The trouble is that WE don’t let Him. Peter asks the believers to cast ALL of our cares on to Him for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). The amplified bible says, “He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully”. So "let not your heart be troubled" (John 14:1, 27).

The psalmist says in Psalm 121 that He will not allow your foot to stumble, He will not allow the sun to strike you by day (say goodbye to heatstroke and melanoma) nor the moon by night (bid farewell to night chills, pneumonia and influenza too), He will keep you, He watches over your soul!! Amen!!

This is our God! Truly makes you wonder like the psalmist, “who is man that you are mindful of him” (Psalm 8:4)

El Shaddai- Almighty, All Sufficient One, Jehovah Shabbaoth- The Lord of Hosts, El Elyon- The Most High GOD; is also ABBA- DADDY!! Hallelujah!!

What the rod and staff (Psalm 23) are actually for...

It is human nature to cry out to God when we are in trouble, asking “Why God? Why did you bring this on me?”

But we must realize that God does not cause us to be sick nor does He delight in burdening us with sorrows. On the contrary the bible says in Isaiah 53:5 “…the chastisement of our peace was upon Him…” Jesus suffered all our sorrows so that all may be well with us.

David says in Psalm 23, “Even though "I" walk through the valley of the shadow of death...."  It is we who go into the valley; it is we who get caught in the traps the devil sets for us.

But the rest of the verse says..."....You are with me, Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me"

Previously, I was very much under the impression that the rod and staff were for us who go astray; to bring us back on track with a holy smack.

But I am glad that Our Lord is nothing like that. According to the Word, the good shepherd would leave his flock to go after one lost sheep, (John 10); with the rod and the staff  he will tear apart the young lion and the bear to save his sheep, (1 Sam 17:36); but most of all the Good Shepherd (Jehovah Rohi), the Lion of the tribe of Judah, came into this world as a Lamb, the Lamb of God who took away our sins (John 1:29); the Creator died so that His creation might be redeemed by believing in Him; “…whosoever believes in Him shall nor perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16)

So as the psalmist says “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy” (Psalm 107:2)

Forest Fire of Burning Hearts

Why did God manifest a burning bush before Moses when He spoke to Him for the first time?People may ask where is the burning bush today? It is impossible for a bush to be on fire and not be consumed.

Well to that I would like to first say “The LORD does whatever he wants, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and the deep oceans.” (Psalm 135:6 ERV) and secondly “Jesus answered, "God can do things that are not possible for people to do."” (Luke 18:27 ERV)

The burning bush, today, is the heart of the redeemed. At the new birth we are made saved from our sins and made into new creatures in our spirit (2Corinthians 5:17) and we are sealed as His children (Romans 8:17) by His Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13) who is the Dunamis (Power) of God (Acts 1:8), the All Consuming Fire comes to live in us. At that very moment our hearts are set ablaze and we are transformed from “complacent and compromising ones” to “PASSIONATE BURNING ONES” set apart by Jehovah Meccadeshichem (God who sanctifies us and sets us apart).

Now picture a forest fire; a spark from the Son of God lights up a dry heart….the heart is set aflame……now in a forest of dry hearts  the burning one brings the fire to the fuel and what you have is a full blown incendie, a terrible forest fire of burning hearts. But where a fire causes death and destruction the All Consuming Fire restores Health and Wholeness. From one dry heart to the other the Spirit Fire leaves behind a trail of hearts on Fire…..replacing tears with laughter, guilt with peace, and mourning with dancing; soothing pain with the oil of gladness!!

The early church was not about towering, magnificent edifices glorifying the works of man, it was the hearts of ordinary men set aflame with fire of Elohim by the Holy Spirit, rooted and grounded on the Rock of our salvation, Yeshua ha Maschia!! Persecution made them cry out for boldness (Acts 4:29), revelation left them thirsting for more, salvation was made available to all, jews and gentiles alike (Acts 10) and by His Spirit they were sealed as His own (Ephesians 1:13).

I strongly believe we are moving in to such a time again!! God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh as He promised in Joel 2:28.

Let us not seek to douse this fire by making it about your own efforts instead let’s fan the flame by putting our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ!!

"Not by [human] power, not by [human] might, but by My Spirit says the Lord!!!!" (Zechariah 4:6)

We are Your burning ones
We are consumed by You
We set our lives apart
We are consumed by You

So let this love be like a fire
Let our life be like a flame
Fill our souls with Your desire
Let our passion bring You fame

-          From the song “Burning Ones” by Jesus Culture

Spiritquakes

It is very hard to describe what it feels like to be touched by God. It may happen anytime while listening to a sermon; or as you read the bible; or when you are listening to a song, worshiping, or even during that tough situation when you just give up and just call on the name of Yeshua.

His touch is indescribable. The closest analogy can be made with that of an earthquake.

We humans are constantly hammering the earth’s crust with sledge hammers, drills and huge tunnel making machines. But no matter what we do at one point on the earth’s surface makes no difference to any other point. This is exactly what it is like when we depend upon our own works and tangible feelings. We may do something and feel good about it or we may feel good about doing something but such feelings are restricted to the flesh realm and may go a little deeper into the soul realm and become instituted as a memory.

Now let us look at an earthquake. Every earthquake starts at a small movement of tectonic plates or small shifts in the earth’s core and as a result entire nations are shaken up, cities reduced to rubble and oceans devour mighty structures.

Similarly, when we feel the touch of Yahweh, we feel it in our spirit and just one touch is enough to reverberate through the soul and the flesh realms and burst out of our mouths in a song….our limbs cannot contain the love and begin to move in a triumphant dance….our eyes cannot contain the joy they overflow with tears. The feeling comes from within, it becomes more than a memory…..it becomes a turning point. “Metanoea” the Greek word used for repentance means change the way you think. Only a touch from the God can bring about true repentance and only the Holy Spirit can help fulfil what Paul talked about in Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to the world but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND.”

Only the Lamb of God who took away our sins (John 1:29) can cause a change from INSIDE OUT.

“So that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (LITV)
